The bulk of this book focuses on the Breed back in Boston, Dragos? shenanigans?, and Sterling Chase, all of it good mind you, but I wanted more of Hunter and Corrine. Hunter has been one of my fav?s since being introduced and I was so looking forward to his story, and well, in my opinion he was cheated! I?ll bet if I go back and try to add up the time spent on Hunter and Corrine?s love story, it?s only a little over a quarter of the book.
We get to revisit most of the couples from the previous books, continue to build up the struggle between the Breed and the evil Dragos, and we see a lot of Sterling Chase and his downward spiral and there my friends is where the disappoint comes into play. The story, as usual, is well written and the narrator does a fabulous job. Let me start by saying I am a huge fan of this series, and if you are as well, this book is a must listen/read. Bonded to Corinne by their mutual desire, Hunter will have to decide how far he’ll go to end Dragos’s reign of evil - even if carrying out his mission means shattering Corinne’s tender heart.
